While Randers Handskefabrik has been providing gloves and leather goods to the Royal Household for centuries, the company was given the official title 'Purveyor to the Royal Danish Court' in year 2000 on the day of the HM The Queen's 60th birthday. The title was given in the category 'Leather goods / Accessories' and beautifully signified and marked a centuries-long relationship with the Royal House.
We do not know the exact date of the first Royal encounter, but we know that the French Queen Marie Antoinette (1755- 1793) requested the Danish Royal Court to have shipped gloves from Randers.
Today, we glove the hands of the entire Danish Royal Family, the Royal Lifeguard, the Queens Officers, Chauffeurs and the Guard Hussar.
