Resulting in a soft and intricately constructed luxury bag with no visible outer seams or hardware, making it both endearingly timeless and completely modern.
Danish Craftsmanship
For those who value their status as a connoisseur, the Swan Bag can signal a certain level of insider knowledge. Handcrafted in our atelier in Randers, Denmark, according to strict sustainable practices. Far from lean industrial lines, each bag is carefully and meticulous made by hand for its owner.
In fact, the artisans are trained within the traditions of gloving, so the Swan Bag is made with the same craftsmanship principles and methods as glove making. Only featuring soft, round edges and movements that trail the material’s natural path.
Award-winning eco leather
The bag is crafted from lust-worthy and award-winning leather from the Danish leather house, Sørensen Leather, who also provide brands like Fritz Hansen and Normann Copenhagen with the most high-end, prestigious and sustainable leather in the world.
The Swan Bag leather is honoured with both Nordic Swan ecolabel and EU ecolabel for its sustainable properties. It is soft with a velvet-like touch and has subtle raw, rustic notions with natural markings, which will evolve and develop into a natural patina over time as a testimony to your personal use of the bag.
The two large Swan Bags are lined with our signature velvet in the heritage teal colour, and are subtly adorned with the Kalmus flower plated with 14 karat gold.
A Swan for a lifetime
With the proper care and wear, the Swan Bag can last a lifetime and be passed on to the next generation.
As a natural material, leather requires looking after. If you care for the leather in the right way, it will become even more beautiful over time. Here are a few tips:
Only clean with a soft brush. Never use soap or water otherwise the velvety look and feel will disappear. Do not apply leather grease or soak the leather. Avoid any chemical products, such as saddle soap, other leather cleaners or household products. Protect from direct sunlight, excessive heat and sharp objects
The care and maintenance of leather will always depend on the specific way in which it is used, the conditions of use and how often it is used.
However, if a thread is broken or a zipper is pulled, we believe in repairing instead of replacing. Just let us know how we can help - and it might even be the very person, who has made the bag, whom will care for it again CARE AND REPAIR.
